Quite remarkable, the brilliant effects of the light. I have tried to take shots similar to these and know how much more difficult they are to capture than they seem. A fine achievement.

It really is all about the light. I had many moments on this recent road trip, to find myself in the right place at the right time. I am currently working on editing the HD video I shot at this same time and place; so far it's looking terrific. The still photos are of much higher resolution, though, so I'm mixing a few in.
Sometimes you just have to put the camera on the tripod, too, and take a longer exposure so you can stop down the aperture to get a sharper-focus image.
I'm new to your blog, is this your music? Love these photos, a lot of them that I have seen for the first time tonight.
