Portland is where I was born and grew up. It's a photogenic town, but it has a weird druid quality that you seem to have caught.

Thanks. I see that earth-power there every time I visit. It does draw me back. I particularly like the Japanese Garden up on the hill, and of course the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Area.
Definitely a bit of Magritte going on in that first photo. Reminds me a bit of his paintings called 'The Empire of Light'.
Agreed. The latter one makes me think a little of Narnia, too. The streetlamp in the forest.
