Ocean & Skies: Mendocino County
images from Mendocino County, CA, February 2010
black raven, black sea-rock,
silver water, silver rain-sky
sea-fence, ocean-mountain,
rock-fin rising from foam
mirror-shore, water-sand-sheet,
cloud-lit swarm fitful wind-wraiths
of the last light of day, nothing but water-sheets and wind
when last bands of sun rain over black-rock water-sheen
somewhere near world's end and wasting

Exquisite images, here Art. You are a master at revealing the natural world in its quintessential moments, moments we can share with a raven.
Thanks.
I don't know if I can live up to such praise, Elisabeth. A lot of it is about being at the right place at the right time. I spend a lot of my photo time out there, when on the road, just standing and watching a long time before making an image, waiting for the light to change, or the exact conditions to converge for the image I can see coming. It's taught me a lot more patience than I ever had before, although I can still be very impatient with devices around the house that don't do what they're supposed to do.
